Ignacio High School

The position is an 11 month contract starting July 1, 2010 and requires the ability to teach Ag Mechanics, Ag Business, Horticulture, Animal Science, Intro to Ag.  The district owns a green house as well as farmland that can be utilized by students. Applicant must hold a Colorado Teaching License and a Vocational Credential.  Deadline is March 19th.

Miami Yoder School District Miami Yoder High School

The teacher will be tasked with developing a curriculum for the Agriculture program, in conjunction with the secondary administration and community needs. The teacher will be involved in refinement of shop layouts and the establishment of a FFA program, with requirements to compete at the state and national level.

The district is constructing two shops, both 1900 sq ft. One is for metal working and welding, and the other for basic wood working. New equipment will be installed in both shops, including a CNC, Magmum cutter for commerical use and fund-raising.

District will accept first ten years of experience and grant one year for every two taught after ten years. Deadline: 08/10/2010 Start Date: 09/14/2010
